GippsTAFE aims to provide students with a total learning experience, and supports their success via the provision of a number of Student Support Services.
Working across all GippsTAFE Campus locations GippsTAFE Student Services Team supports the provision of the following services
- AUSTUDY and Youth Allowance enquiries
- Student Welfare services, via the provision of general advice and referral for students who may be experiencing difficulties
- Course information and referral
- Vocational Guidance
- Disability support
- Youth specific support via the Youth Pathways Program
GippsTAFE students will also undertake their studies in one of the most well equipped TAFE Institutes in Victoria, backed up by on-site Libraries and Bookstores.
Students and the general public can also take advantage of
- Discounted Hair and Beauty services via the GippsTAFE Hair Design and Beauty Department (Yallourn Campus),
- Great meals at affordable prices (Waratah training Restaurant – Morwell Campus, or the Wattle-Seed Training Restaurant – Warragul Campus)

A support and referral service is available to ensure that all students have the support they need to achieve their study goals.

Students undertaking an approved course of study with GippsTAFE may be eligible for a Student Loan. The loan is available to assist with the payment of enrolment fees, material fees and books or materials required via the Institute Bookstore.
