Building Studies

The department provides training in carpentry and joinery for apprentices and tradespeople.
Certificate II and Pre-apprenticeship courses on offer enhance student’s employment opportunities and entry into apprenticeships courses for Painting and Decorating Certificate III depends upon the apprentice obtaining a suitable employer.
Programs for school leavers and people who are unemployed and special industry training is also available through the department.
You can study general construction, building drafting (architectural drafting), off site construction, furnishing, and short courses in visual stress grading (Softwood and Hardwood).
The department also runs short courses as required by industry and public demand. The department is also equipped to offer training to special needs groups within the community.

- Carpentry and Joinery
- Furniture / Cabinet Making
