Course Overview

This short course will helpl you with the correct selection of Australian native plants for particular situations and purposes in your garden. A great deal of emphasis will be placed on plants for areas that are often thought of as "problem areas".

Students will be able to explore the wide diversity of plant life that is available in the green life market that they can use to plant in all of those problem areas, such as heavy clay soils, areas that are very wet in winter and dry in summer, sandy areas, rocky areas, salt tolerant plants, fire retardant plants and of course, bird attracting plants.

Also, students will be instructed in the best ways to plant thse plants and how to look after these plants from planting to the established peiod. In a a number of situations there are always some simple techniques that can be used to guarantee your success when planting these plants.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Participation.
