Course Overview

By maintaining a major focus on developing work related skills, the Community Services Department has a long history of achieving successful employment outcomes for GippsTAFE students.

Teaching staff have extensive experience in their field, allowing them to provide real world knowledge and practical guidance.

This course is a specialist qualification for those providing school support services in schools. You will learn general and specialist skills so you can be an effective and sought after member of the workforce.

Qualifications And Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Education Support.

Entry Requirements

Sufficient validated experience in directly supervised learning support roles as an education support worker, child care worker, home/volunteer tutor or similar role to indicate likely success at this level of qualification.

OR

Successful completion of a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in education support, children's services or a related area.
