Course Overview

The Certificate IV in Out of School Hours Care contains specific units of competency that have been recognized nationally as being critical to work in Out of School Hours services.

This course is designed to provide workers with the skills required to :
  • Provide care for children (5 - 12 years).
  • Plan activities.
  • Facilitate play and leisure.
  • Meet developmental needs.
Employees may work under direct supervision or autonomously. Employees may have some supervisory responsibility for volunteers and other workers.
