Please note: The Bachelor of Applied Management is a Federation University qualification delivered at GippsTAFE.

The Bachelor of Applied Management is an innovative degree integrating applied and academic learning. It has been developed to reflect the changing roles and responsibilities of business and management, incorporating applied skills and higher-level management concepts. You will learn the strategic approach essential for developing and growing an organisation and the necessary practical planning, marketing, finance, project management and people skills to manage the complexities of a modern business.

A blended approach to learning is utilised during this program combining online delivery with on-campus workshops at the Traralgon Academy. The Bachelor of Applied Management degree places a strong emphasis on applied learning through a range of integrated projects and assignments.

This applied degree allows you to translate theory into a workplace context. It is ideal if you are currently working at a managerial level and would like to consolidate and formalise your existing experience with a qualification. It is also suitable if you are looking for career advancement with aspirations toward managerial roles. This degree has an applied learning approach, allowing you to readily apply the theory explored in the course to the workplace.

How to Apply

The Bachelor of Applied Management has two intakes per year (March and July).

Applicants apply directly to GippsTAFE and must satisfy the academic performance, age requirement and English language proficiency of Federation University.

Entry Requirements

GippsTAFE offers pathways into the second and third year of the Bachelor of Applied Management.
Dependent on your qualifications.
Pathway Option 1: Applicants are able to enter the 2nd year of the program following completion of a diploma qualification in a suitable field

Pathway Option 2: You must first complete a Diploma qualification (in any field), and an Advanced Diploma in Business or Management to enter the 3rd year of the program.

Pre-Requisites

Interview: Applicants may be required to attend an interview prior to commencement in the program

Assessment

A range of assessment tasks will be undertaken during this program including written reports, essays, assignments, case studies, tests, group projects and oral presentations.

Opportunities For Further Study

Students are eligible upon completion of this program to undertake a Graduate Diploma and or Masters in Management or Business Administration.

Course Structure

This program combines a number of specialist interest courses from key disciplines, including; entrepreneurship, marketing, economics, accounting, organisational development, human resources and management.
