Course Overview

The Advanced Diploma of Management will be of particular interest to those aspiring to senior managerial roles in a large organisation and those who have a leadership role in smaller organisations.

The course will focus on the management of teams, departments and projects – the skills essential to be a successful manager. The program recognises that senior management and leadership are all about performance and change.This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have senior or managerial responsibilities. They may oversee the work of others or have specialised roles where they do not supervise others but provide strategic leadership.

This program taps into the existing competencies of managers and, through a series of workshops and assignments, gives the participants the skills and competencies to successfully manage businesses and people in an ever-changing workplace.

  • Be least 18 years of age and submit a direct application and attach a resume with training records
  • Hold a Diploma of Management or Degree Qualification or
  • Diploma qualification + one year of managerial experience or

Assessment

Competency based training is concerned with assisting people to gain specific competencies relevant to the purpose of their program of study.



A student will be assessed by completing set tasks at specified standards.
 Assignments will be graded.



A range of assessment methods will be used to enable students to demonstrate competency. 

Opportunities For Further Study

The Advanced Diploma of Management has a direct pathway into the Bachelor of Applied Management at the University of Ballarat. 

The Bachelor of Applied Management is equivalent to a 3 year degree program. 

Your previous Diploma and this Advanced Diploma and relevant professional work experience (minimum 2 years) is deemed to be equivalent to Years 1 and 2 of the 3 year degree program.
