Course Overview
This course is designed for ACMA Registered Cablers carrying out underground cable installation and maintenance. The course consists of:
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Locate and describe underground construction
- Duct construction
- Underground cable types
- Site excavation
- Pit and pipe installations
- Determine priority of service
- Cable hauling
- Joint location (min. 50 pr cable)
- Joint enclosure and fit underground cable
- Test cable joint
- Replace service
- Working environment hazard identification
- Safe working environment
- Appropriate procedures for manual handling
Qualifications And Recognition
