Course Overview

The Certificate III in Hairdressing will give you the skills and knowledge to allow you to work as a qualfied hairdresser.  Hairdressing qualifications can lead to many work opportunities from owning your own salon to working with models and celebrities for film and television work.

At GippsTAFE you'll develop your skills through the world renowned training resources of Pivot Point Academy. That means you're getting the best training available in Australia.

This course provides the accredited, off-the-job training requirement of a hairdressing apprenticeship. You'll learn cutting, colouring and finishing techniques for male and female clients.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as hairdressers working as part of a team in a hairdressing environment, and who are competent in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, selling products and services, and designing and applying a broad range of technical hairdressing services on clients.

These individuals possess a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs.
