This course will enable you to attain the skills, knowledge, attitudes and values required for employment as a Beauty Therapist.
The course is designed to offer offers training in a wide range of beauty therapy treatments and services including make-up, lash and brow treatments, waxing, manicure and pedicure, facial massage, advanced facials, body massage, body treatments, gel and acrylic nails, as well as providing advice on and selling retail skincare and cosmetic products.
This course also aims to develop the small business management skills commonly required by supervisors in a salon setting. It is designed to reflect the role of those who work relatively autonomously. It involves the performance of a broad range of skilled applications, including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and some provision of leadership and guidance to others in the application and planning of skills
Qualifications And RecognitionUpon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy.

Assessment is competency based. A range of assessment methods will be used, including written assignments, practical tasks, practical placement (Non-Traineeship), assignments and written/practical assessments.
Course requires a compulsory work placement component.
