Clients undertaking the Skills Gateway Skills Recognition service will be provided with access to the following:

• Overview of the Australian Qualifications Framework, with a particular emphasis on the Vocational Education and Training sector
• Overview on how a GippsTAFE qualification is structured
• Overview on how a GippsTAFE qualification can be tailored to suit your needs
• Overview on how a Unit of Competency is structured
• Overview on the different types of Skills Recognition including areas such as Recognition of Prior Learning, Credit Transfer and Mutual Recognition
• Free pre-assessment via the Skills Gateway pre-assessment tool, Competency Navigator
• Advice on the types of evidence to gather to support your application for RPL
• Free pre-assessment reports such as a Competency Summary, matching Qualification report, Qualification overview report and Recognition of Skills report
• A personalised referral to the GippsTAFE Teaching area that offers the qualification you are seeking
• Information regarding TAFE fees, and assistance in identifying the most cost effective method for you

Locations
This service is available from any GippsTAFE Campus location and on-site in your workplace. Group sessions can be arranged.
