Program Timeline
The Skills for Growth program generally takes 4 weeks to complete; with a follow up review at approx 6 months.

The assessment will:
This stage will end with the delivery of a Workforce Action Plan.
This will involve evaluating the training requirements of individuals and sections within the organisation. Each person identified as being in need of training will be individually assessed for their eligibility to access the Victorian Training Guarantee.
The training plan will provide the business with a range of accredited training programs that will meet the organisations needs, including the best method for providing the training.
The Specialist will make the arrangements on behalf of the business and liaise with the chosen training provider to organise the time, location, and style of training.
At this time, the Specialist identifies the outcomes that have resulted from the process, and updates the Action and Training plans accordingly.
This stage concludes with the delivery of the Skills for Growth Report.

Program Outline
The program has five key elements:- Business Diagnostic and Action Plan
- Skills Needs Assessment
- Development of Training Plan
- Training Purchase
- Follow-Up Review
Business Diagnostic and Action Plan
In the first stage of the program, businesses will receive an onsite assessment, which will be provided by a Specialist in workforce planning and training.The assessment will:
- Focus on evaluating the organisations need for training and skills development
- Consider the strategic priorities of the business and forecast future skill needs
- Identify barriers to business performance and opportunities for improvement
- Provide advice about workforce planning
This stage will end with the delivery of a Workforce Action Plan.
Skills Needs Assessment
In the second stage, the Specialist will take a more in-depth look at the skills needs of the whole business.This will involve evaluating the training requirements of individuals and sections within the organisation. Each person identified as being in need of training will be individually assessed for their eligibility to access the Victorian Training Guarantee.
Development of Training Plan
In the third stage, the Specialist will develop a tailor-made training plan that includes all employees of the business.The training plan will provide the business with a range of accredited training programs that will meet the organisations needs, including the best method for providing the training.
Training Purchase
The fourth stage involves the business identifying the preferred option of training from the recommendations made by the Specialist.The Specialist will make the arrangements on behalf of the business and liaise with the chosen training provider to organise the time, location, and style of training.
Follow-Up Review
The final stage of the Skills for Growth program involves an onsite follow-up with the participating business.At this time, the Specialist identifies the outcomes that have resulted from the process, and updates the Action and Training plans accordingly.
This stage concludes with the delivery of the Skills for Growth Report.
