Executive Team

The ultimate responsibility for the conduct of the affairs of the Institute rests with Council, day-to-day management is however delegated by Council to the CEO, the Senior Executive Team, Management and Staff who together are a team.

The CEO and Executive provide leadership to the team to achieve annual strategic goals, to formulate and implement strategic direction in a competing and changing environment, striving for innovative and relevant vocational education and training.

The primary role of the CEO is to establish the process of leadership within the Institute, to lead the Institute in realising its vision, whilst at the same time upholding its organisational values and fulfilling its stated mission.

In addition it is the role of the CEO to implement strategies agreed to by Council, to manage the Institute prudently and to promote the organisation so that it maintains a reputation for excellence in teaching and learning.

Jim Vivian

Mr Jim Vivian - General Manager Education and Business Consultancy

The General Manager Educational Operations is responsible for all areas of teaching and learning, including the planning and delivery of government funds across the Institute's teaching departments. The Division provides training and consultancy services to a wide range of vocational and educational training programs to industry and the community to meet the needs of clients it services locally, nationally and internationally.

The General Manager Corporate Services provides leadership across the Institute in the following key areas, finance, facilities management, human resources, organisational development, information and communications technology, quality assurance and strategic planning. The Division is responsible for the development of appropriate plans and strategies to support the Institute's teaching and learning activities.
